Lose the Techno Babble This Holiday Season

Do you remember, back in the day, when a lot of electronics and tech gadgets came with instruction manuals that were written in a foreign language, such as Chinese? This prompted many of us to “wing it” and instead, work the gizmo as best we could. Fortunately for most of us, we got the hang of it in no time.

While many gadgets’ owner’s manuals already come in plain English, there are still quite a lot of folks that find themselves a bit “technologically challenged” and may require a call to a customer support call center for help.

Why not do them a favor, especially for the upcoming holidays, by making their “tech life” as simple as possible. How?

Simply lose the “tech jargon”. If your tech support contact center agents can avoid using technical terms and speak in plain English, then it would be truly awesome for a Missus who just simply wants to learn how to use her new MacBook Pro, given to her by the hubby for Christmas. Moreover, try and simplify instructions so Grandpa can start chatting with his grandkids before the clock strikes 12 to mark the New Year.
