Testing Your Own Waters

You’re experiencing trouble calling out and your cellphone can’t seem to send a text message without a few niggles. This prompts you to call up your mobile provider’s customer support call center.

As you’re waiting for an agent to answer – for an eternity of 20 minutes – it makes you wonder how your own Noodles-2-Go customer hotline is doing—are your patrons made to wait this long?
While you don’t want to act like a jealous lover “spying” on your lady love, it might be worth the time to check up on your customer care service once in a while. One way is to call up your hotline and see how long it takes for phone agents to pick up those calls. This way, you can find ways to shorten the wait, if indeed, it does take forever.

While you’re at it, why not go for broke and make an actual call. Act like a regular customer who’s calling to inquire about a product, for instance. Better yet, why not make a complaint. This way, you’ll see how your staff serves regular folks. More importantly, you can find ways to fix whatever’s plaguing the system—a bad case of agent rudeness, perhaps?

So test your own waters once in a while. Just don’t make it a habit. Oh, and leave the jealousy behind.
